We offer in-office professional teeth whitening at Lakeview Dental Centre with beautiful results. Unlike at-home teeth whitening systems, this cosmetic treatment can achieve better and quicker results.
We recommend whitening your teeth after a cleaning appointment to maximize the effect. Before the procedure, we will check the current shade of your teeth using a shade guide. We also may need to treat decay first and identify where teeth may not whiten evenly, including an existing filling or crown.
Precise customization: With teeth whitening services, your smile can be made lighter by many shades and is customized to your unique dental needs. This degree of personalization gives you the ideal brightness level in the exact spots you need it, ensuring a complete and evenly bright smile.
Our professional teeth-whitening procedure is an effective, affordable, safe, and efficient way to brighten your smile. After the initial consultation(which includes pre-op shade selection), we begin by isolating your teeth using a liquid dam to protect your gum tissue. A whitening gel will be placed on your teeth, activated by a LED light in front of your mouth. Desensitizers and moisturizers have been added to the whitening gel to prevent dehydration and sensitivity.
Once the procedure is complete, Dr. Newman and her staff will use the shade guide again to check the new shade of your teeth so that you can see the comparison for yourself. You will also be given an additional whitening syringe and the whitening tray to be taken home for touch-ups, along with recommended instructions to follow after the procedure.
Professional teeth whitening can correct discolouration caused by aging, stains, or chemical damage. It is long-lasting and effective, helping you achieve your desired bright, white smile.
A professional in-house whitening treatment can be completed in a few short appointments. However, the time frame can vary based on your specific oral requirements. Teeth whitening is a non-invasive procedure done using hydrogen peroxide-based whitening gel. When the peroxide comes into contact with the light emitted from the lamp, it breaks down and releases oxygen, which helps flush out and eliminate the discolouration. As an added bonus, Zoom whitening does not affect the physical structure of your teeth.
Zoom whitening is considered perfectly safe for most people. The only people not recommended to receive Zoom are pregnant or lactating women, children under the age of 14, people with increased sensitivity to light, or patients undergoing any type of photochemotherapy. Additionally, patients with melanoma or any other type of skin cancer should not receive Zoom.
